Group 0+ Car seats explained by BabyBabyShop advisors

Group 0 car seats can be Isofix or Non-Isofix.
They are always rear-facing and very portable, for babies from birth to 10kg (birth to 6-9 months approx). This seat can only be used in the back seat of the car if your car has a front passenger seat airbag. (Disabling the airbag is NOT recommended by us)
Some seats are sold with a separate base that stays in the car and the car seat 'snaps' in and out of it. This method is very good as the base is secured extremely tightly in the car and fitting or removing the actual car seat is a breaze. Some have adaptors that fit onto travel systems.
Our tip:
Whilst this type of seat can be very convienient, our view is babies can be left in the seat far too long. It can be lifted straight out of the car onto a travel system without disturbing baby. Your baby cannot lay flat in this type of seat and being hunched up for so long cannot be good for baby.
This type of seat is great so long as you limit the time your baby is in it to a few hours.
