Isofix Car Seats Explained

Most modern cars have two isofix anchor points located between the backrest and seat cushions in a car(indicated by yellow arrows in picture below). With isofix you simply click the carseat into the two isofix anchor points, making the use of seat belts unnecessary to install the child car seat. Some very new car models also have a third attachment point called a Top Tether, this will prevent the child's seat from tipping forward. Some children's carseats have a leg attached to them, this rests of the floor of the car to prevent the seat tipping forward if no top tether is available.
